NYALLAH (pronouns: they/them) is a Los Angeles-born, Sierra Leonean-American, gender-fluid artist working across music, performance, and interdisciplinary storytelling. A graduate of USC’s Popular Music program, their artistry has garnered recognition from platforms like Bandcamp Daily, Teen Vogue, NTS Radio, and dublab, with sold-out performances at venues including The Peppermint Club, Baby’s All Right, Public Records, and the Brooklyn Museum. NYALLAH is a member of the 2025 GLAAD Black Queer Creative Summit cohort, and their interdisciplinary work THE CONCEPT OF RETURNING HOME has been supported by the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, expanding their practice across film, sound, and archival storytelling.

As the founder and programming director of NOIR AT NITE, a live music series dedicated to preserving and celebrating Black music, NYALLAH has produced sold-out shows in both Los Angeles and New York City, collaborating with artists such as serpentwithfeet and ByHaze, alongside a growing network of independent Black queer, TGNC, and femme artists. The series continues to create immersive, community-centered spaces for live music while fostering connection between artists and their communities.

Following a near-death accident, NYALLAH’s project R+B reimagines R&B through a queer lens—challenging the conflation of desirability with love while transforming lived experience into a soundscape rooted in vulnerability and resistance. In parallel, NYALLAH continues developing Rebel Rhythms, a studio recording and performance film project documenting their work with a live ensemble in dialogue with the lineage of Black musical traditions. Rooted in soul, jazz, R&B, and African diasporic sound, the project responds to the present moment as a sonic document of what we are living through—transforming grief and urgency into movement, memory, and affirmation, and centering joy, resistance, and communal care.
