NOIR AT NITE

NOIR AT NITE 𖦹
NOIR AT NITE returned with its eighth installment, BLACK PRIDE II, a free, Black-only celebration of Black queer and trans artistry held at the Peppermint Club. In partnership with WeHo Pride and the City of West Hollywood, the night featured electrifying performances by serpentwithfeet, NYALLAH, and Sunday, alongside DJ sets from Hourglass and BODII, hosted by Bay Davis. Rooted in joy, liberation, and community, the event created a high-energy, affirming space for Black LGBTQ+ attendees to gather, dance, and be seen.
The challenge was to intentionally design a Black-only Pride event that centered safety, accessibility, and celebration, while navigating high demand, limited capacity, and the expectations of a growing audience.
THE CHALLENGE
WHAT I DID
𖦹
WHAT I DID 𖦹
I led curation and production for this installment of NOIR AT NITE, shaping a lineup that reflected the depth and range of Black queer artistry—from intimate, genre-defying performances to high-energy DJ sets. In collaboration with WeHo Pride and the City of West Hollywood, I helped execute a large-scale event that remained rooted in care and intention. I oversaw talent coordination, event flow, and audience experience, while ensuring accessibility needs—such as ASL interpretation and ground-floor access—were fully integrated. I also guided the event’s voice and messaging, reinforcing its identity as a space created for and by Black queer and trans community.
