NOIR AT NITE 𖦹

NOIR AT NITE partnered with The LINE LA to present For Those Who Love R&B, a special evening that honored the emotional depth and cultural legacy of R&B through a queer lens. The event featured performances by NYALLAH and Tonii, with a live DJ set by Chinua, inviting attendees into a soul-stirring evening centered on joy, connection, and vulnerability. Held in the heart of Koreatown, this night also commemorated the release of NYALLAH’s latest project, R+B, a personal sonic exploration of love, fluidity, and self-acceptance.

To create a live music experience that centered R&B’s cultural roots while reflecting the present-day nuance of Black queer identity—and doing so in partnership with a major hospitality brand without compromising intention or integrity.

THE CHALLENGE

WHAT I DID

𖦹

WHAT I DID 𖦹

I led creative direction and event production for this NOIR AT NITE x The LINE LA collaboration, working closely with their programming team to align on tone, vision, and execution. I curated a lineup of local queer Black artists who embody the emotional resonance of R&B and designed the flow of the evening to feel both intimate and expansive. From set design to soundcheck, I oversaw artist coordination and event logistics, ensuring that each detail honored the storytelling at the heart of the music. I also developed language for the event invite and social assets that spoke directly to our community, positioning the event as both a celebration and a soft landing.

THE IMPACT

The event drew a capacity crowd of music lovers, artists, and community members who were deeply moved by the performances and the space we co-created. It strengthened NOIR AT NITE’s presence in Los Angeles and marked the beginning of an ongoing relationship with The LINE LA, opening doors for future collaborations rooted in culture, queerness, and live music.

Most importantly, it gave artists and attendees a night to feel seen, celebrated, and emotionally restored.
