CAFÉ ERZULIE 𖦹

This intimate evening at Café Erzulie brought together genre-blurring live music and community in the venue’s outdoor garden space. Featuring performances by NYALLAH with an opening set by Dani Murcia and DJ sets by DONIS, the night centered soulful, immersive soundscapes rooted in R&B, jazz fusion, and alternative soul. Presented in collaboration with Ten To One Rum and Please Pearl Me, the event created a warm, atmospheric environment designed for connection, reflection, and sonic exploration.

The challenge was to produce a return show in Brooklyn, NY after being away from the market for a year, while reconnecting and reestablishing relationships within a community that had already been built. The event also centered intentional collaboration with Black-owned small businesses in NYC, ensuring the experience remained rooted in community, familiarity, and cultural integrity.

THE CHALLENGE

WHAT I DID

𖦹

WHAT I DID 𖦹

I booked all of the artists, curating a lineup of collaborators and longtime connections, and assembled and led my band to support the live performance. I reached out to and secured brand partnerships with Ten To One Rum and Please Pearl Me, coordinating product support for the night. I also reconnected with the venue, building on a prior relationship established through my first NYC EP release party in 2019. In addition, I coordinated alcohol and cannabis logistics to ensure a seamless and intentional guest experience, while overseeing the overall flow of the evening.

THE IMPACT

The event brought together a close-knit audience for a night of connection, music, and shared energy, reinforcing Café Erzulie as a space for culture-driven programming. With support from partners including Ten To One Rum, who provided product for the evening, and PEARL NYC, who gifted cannabis goodie bags to the first 30 guests, the event extended beyond performance into a layered communal experience rooted in care and atmosphere.

The night further marked a meaningful return to New York, reestablishing connections within a community that has been foundational to NYALLAH’s artistry, while strengthening relationships with Black-owned small businesses. It also solidified NYALLAH’s presence as a live performer and independent producer within intimate, community-centered spaces.
